Part of our holistic ethos is about sharing restorative and relaxing homecare ideas with our clients, and regular Epsom salt baths is one of our favourite natural remedies.
Fun fact! Espom salt isn’t actually a salt at all - but a natural pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulphate. Both of which are easily absorbed through the skin when taking a lovely long soak in the bath.
A relaxing Espom salt bath is known for it’s numerous remedial benefits, including: soothing inflammatory skin conditions, easing joint and muscle pain, relaxing the nervous system, promoting quicker healing of minor wounds and drawing toxins from the body.
Also excellent for stress and lowered mood. Our body uses magnesium to produce serotonin - a mood-elevating chemical that creates a sense of calm and relaxation. So soaking in E.S may help replenish magnesium levels in the body, thus supporting our brains ability to turn up the feel-good factor!
Use a few cups per bath (although always read instructions before use) and use around 3 times a week for optimal results.
No Bath? Why not try a foot bath instead!
