Hot Stone Massage Fusion
Our hot stone massage fusion is a delicious combination of relaxing traditional massage combined with warming basalt stones.
The naturally shaped volcanic stones glide across the body, transferring heat deep into the muscle tissue, encouraging more rapid muscular relaxation.
The smooth quality of the stones delivers a seamless application, that offers relief from tight, sore and aching muscles. Heat is also an excellent application for arthritis or aching joints. The stones can be used in a variety of ways to achieve a more focal pressure to help release trigger points (knots) or particularly tight areas.
Best suited pressure: Gentle - medium

Cupping Massage Fusion
Cupping is a technique originally derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In a typical session the cupping is integrated into your massage where indicated, sometimes applied dynamically (where the cups use a small amount of suction and are moved around the skin creating a massaging effect) or statically (this is where the cups are left to settle for a few minutes).
Physical change occurs when the suction created draws blood supply to area . This nourishes the muscle cell fibres with oxygen rich nutrients, helping to revitalise the tissue and carry away waste materials. This means it can be useful for reducing inflammation and aiding in the lymphatic system.
Suction created by the cups lifts layers of skin, fascia and muscle helping to "unstick" areas that have become restricted. This makes it a great tool to use pre-treatment before receiving massage.
Best suited pressure: Gentle, medium or firm

Postnatal Massage
You body has just been through the most miraculous journey and now is a time for healing. Often, there's so much focus on the new born baby that it's easy to forget the importance of looking after your own body. Typically, new parents experience neck and shoulder stiffness through holding, feeding and most likely a little bit stressed and sleep deprived!
Massage has also been shown to be beneficial if experiencing symptoms of postnatal depression, due to the release of endorphins (feel good hormones), which are proven to enhance the immune system, relieve pain and reduce stress.

Acupressure Points for Labour (remote session)
This session is ideal to do with your partner present but can also be done by your self. In this remote video session, we'll go through four effective and powerful acupressure points that have been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help prepare women for labour. These points cannot be used to actually induce labour (otherwise no one would ever be over-due!) but they work with specific energies in the body to support that labour process.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic drainage is an incredibly gentle, therapeutic massage treatment. It stimulates the lymphatic system to help eliminate waste, toxins and fluid retention from the body. MLD is slow and considered, utilising light pressure to manoeuvre lymph along to key ducts where the bodies' able to process it. Sweeping, brushing, energetic engagement and passive joint mobilisations are all effective ways to engage with this system and may be utilised in your MLD session.
The lymphatic system is an integral part of your body's immune system that helps to fight infection and remove waste from the bodies cells and tissues. Movement from our muscles pushes the lymphatic fluid around the body, much like the heart does for blood. So MLD can be particularly useful for stagnant or sluggish lymph, where mobility may be limited. It can also be beneficial post-surgery, due to it's ability to reduce oedema (swelling).
