Welcome to our home therapy room
This crisp and calming space provides the perfect local get-away, nestled in a quiet Ebley cul de sac, just a few minutes drive from the centre of Stroud and a convenient 8 minutes drive from the motorway.
The treatment room is accessible directly from outside so there's no need to enter our home unless you need to use the bathroom. We have a wash basin with soap and paper towels situated in the room for ease of hand washing along with hand sanitiser supplied on entry.
We ensure a clean and hygienic space along with some luxury touches including an electric table warmer (to keep you cosy during those colder days), an essential oil diffuser and of course layers of thick, fluffy towels!
Appointments from our home-therapy room are with experienced therapist Kate Browne, who is the founder and lead practitioner of Cotswold Mobile Massage and National Massage Champion. You can read more about Kate's credentials and style of massage therapy by clicking here.
Wearing of PPE is longer mandatory. In most cases, Kate will continue to wear a mask for the treatment unless agreed with the client. If you would prefer Kate to wear a visor or gloves for your treatment, you can request this on your booking form. We ask that you wear a face covering on arrival and whilst talking, but may remove it during your massage unless lying face up.
Lower Back & Glutes
The musculoskeletal anatomy of the lower back is intrinsically entwinned with that of the pelvis and gluteals. This remedial session is ideal for anyone suffering from lower back pain, stiffness or piriformis syndrome (muscularly induced sciatica). Kate will apply advanced techniques and slow, deep pressure to un-stick tissues, mobilise joints and invigorate stagnant areas.
Enjoy a session focused just on the legs. Ideal for sports peoples, runners or even for those who are less mobile with sluggish circulation. Treatment can focus around the glutes, knees, hips or ankles using advanced knowledge and techniques to revitalise tissues, mobilise adhesive areas and identify areas for possible rehabilitation.
Relaxing Foot Rub
Inspired by Thai foot massage and reflexology, this soothing and deeply relaxing massage will treat the lower legs (up to the knee) and feet. Ideal for staying more distanced, for pregnant women and for those not wanting to undress for a treatment.
Include a relaxing hand and arm massage for a longer 60 minute session.
Massage has been used to support women through childbirth and pregnancy for thousands of years.
Our pregnancy massages are delivered to you lying comfortably on your side supported by bolsters. Treatments are tranquil, soothing and restful so your mind can switch off and let go of any worries. If you enjoy a deeper massage, Kate understands how to adapt techniques safely in order to deliver releasing and remedial treatment to areas that need it. Common problem areas that can benefit from our pregnancy massage include aching hips, sore lower back, tightness in the neck and shoulders, puffy ankles and sleeplessness.
You body has just been through the most miraculous journey and now is a time for healing. Often, there's so much focus on the new born baby that it's easy to forget the importance of looking after your own body. Typically, new parents experience neck and shoulder stiffness through holding, feeding and most likely a little bit stressed and sleep deprived!
Massage has also been shown to be beneficial if experiencing symptoms of postnatal depression, due to the release of endorphins (feel good hormones), which are proven to enhance the immune system, relieve pain and reduce stress.
Acupressure Points for Labour (remote session)
This session is ideal to do with your partner present but can also be done by your self. In this remote video session, we'll go through four effective and powerful acupressure points that have been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help prepare women for labour. These points cannot be used to actually induce labour (otherwise no one would ever be over-due!) but they work with specific energies in the body to support that labour process.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic drainage is an incredibly gentle, therapeutic massage treatment. It stimulates the lymphatic system to help eliminate waste, toxins and fluid retention from the body. MLD is slow and considered, utilising light pressure to manoeuvre lymph along to key ducts where the bodies' able to process it. Sweeping, brushing, energetic engagement and passive joint mobilisations are all effective ways to engage with this system and may be utilised in your MLD session.
The lymphatic system is an integral part of your body's immune system that helps to fight infection and remove waste from the bodies cells and tissues. Movement from our muscles pushes the lymphatic fluid around the body, much like the heart does for blood. So MLD can be particularly useful for stagnant or sluggish lymph, where mobility may be limited. It can also be beneficial post-surgery, due to it's ability to reduce oedema (swelling).
