Learning about the human body is no easy task, but understanding how our body works is essential for anyone interested in working with the physical body, whether you're a yoga or Pilates instructor, artist, sculptor, massage therapist, bodyworker or personal trainer.

    DATE: Thursday 12th September

    TIME:. 17.30hrs - 20.00hrs

    TICKET PRICE: £25.00

    VENUE: Ella & Fluer Studio

    ADDRESS:  23A Pittville St, Cheltenham GL52 2LN

In this workshop, Kate will guide you through our bodies complex landscape, using colour and creativity to help bring to life our muscle anatomy and bio-mechanics.

You'll be taken step by step through the musculature of the back, neck and shoulders, bringing together knowledge of how and where to locate anatomy alongside it's role in facilitating movement and stability within the body.

Body painting helps you to absorb knowledge effortlessly using visual and tactile techniques that optimise your learning process. Capture your finished creation with a photo opportunity at the end - perfect for revision, art or as a creative keepsake.

This effective method of learning is ideal for yoga practitioners who tend to be kinaesthetic learners. Open for total beginners or to those with prior knowledge, Kate can adapt the level of detail depending on your own level of experience.

    What's included:

    • All materials and a small handbook to accompany the anatomy covered.

    • Certificate of Attendance which contributes to your professional development.

    What to wear:

Female attendees are advised to wear an open back loose fitting top or bikini top with a loose top to cover up when you're not being painted. Male attendees may be topless when being painted but should bring a loose fitting top to cover up. Although paints should wash out, we do recommend wearing older clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on.

We can't accept any responsibility for clothes that become stained. We also advise wearing long hair tied up as to not interfere when painting around the neck.
