Kate's credentials

Kate originally trained at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodyworks in 2014, completely a years level 4 Holistic Massage diploma.

Kate immediately started working for herself and setup her own mobile massage business, KB Holistic Massage.

In 2016 Kate returned to the college to complete a years level 5 Remedial & Sports Massage diploma. This is where Kate developed her clinical skillset learning advanced techniques, biomechanics and injury rehabilitation.

By this point Kate had built up a great local reputation and soon had too much work to do herself. So she began the process of expansion by taking on other therapists and rebranding as Cotswold Mobile Massage.

Kate's interest in working with women during stages of pregnancy lead her to complete a diploma with Susanne Yates at Wellmother in 2017. Pregnancy and postnatal massage has become a one of Kate's specialisms.

Kate has also completed spinal mobilisation and manipulation with Body Master, John Gibbins. Along with many other CPD workshops and masterclasses including kinesiology taping, facial beauty training, gua sha and skin cancer awareness.

Kate is currently training under the Yuan Clinic in London studying Facial Acupuncture and hopes to qualify later in 2021.

Train with Kate

Kate offers 1-2-1 training and mentorship with all her team.

She also organises professional therapist "swap" days where a space is hired and professional therapists attend to exchange massage treatments for the day. This is great socially but is also a chance to learn, observe, network and most importantly - receive some massage!

Over lockdown 1.0, Kate devised a series of live video tutorials on Facebook called Massage with me! These were designed for total beginners, so that whilst massage therapy was off the cards, clients could still learn how to treat each other at home. This was a great success and the videos are still available for watching via the CMM Facebook page.

Kate launched the first of her Body Paint Anatomy workshops in 2020 which were unfortunately cut short by the outbreak of Corona Virus. However, dates are being re-arranged for 2021 and are being hosted by some of the leading massage schools in the UK. These workshops are excellent not only for therapists but anyone working with or interested in human form - artists, PTs, yoga or Pilates instructors...

Kate's vision for the future is to open a wellbeing clinic and massage school in the Cotswolds. Therapy rooms and studios will offer a comprehensive menu of wellbeing offerings along with a place for massage students to come and train. Kate will write and develop a diploma massage course bringing together all the best bits of what she's learned over the years.
